I was asked to create a piece that had a spiritual look not related to any one particular religion, yet would convey the meaning of the title.
I thought of the migration of geese and how they look out for one another, but since I've come across images of that metaphor before, I wanted to be different. I went with monarch butterflies. Besides, there's a nice rebirth theme associated with butterflies that cross over into many beliefs.
